Whilst filming for new projects Ross spent time in The Kingdom of Tonga capturing the natural history of the humpback whales which migrate up from Antartica. Filming in the gin clear waters here he was able to swim with the whales and record some extraordinary footage of these wonderful animals. Often the humpbacks would be observed in the shallows of the coral reef creating some memorable moments for the cine cameras.
