Above- #24 Title- “Humpback Mother & Calf meets Turtle” 1 of 500

Whilst filming his award winning documentary “Humpbacks from Fire to Ice” Ross spent six seasons off Maui, Hawaii and in the Inside Passage, South East Alaska capturing the natural history of the humpback whales which migrate between those locations. Working with the Hawaii Whale Research Foundation HWRF on a special NOAA permit, he was able to swim with the whales and record some extraordinary footage of these wonderful animals. Often the humpback mothers would bring their calves up to investigate other wildlife creating some memorable moments for the cine cameras. Here a mother and calf investigate a green turtle swimming over the coral.
