Back in 1985 Ross Isaacs was first to film Humpback whales underwater in Australian waters and his first 16mm film television documentary entitled ‘RETURN OF THE LEVIATHAN’ was shot along the east coast of Queensland where he followed the migrating giants to their breeding grounds on the Great Barrier Reef. Ross went on to produced his second documentary film on Humpback whales in 1992 entitled ‘ENCOUNTERS WITH WHALES’ with an accompanying book and later in 2009 a third film on whales his award winning film ‘HUMPBACKS FROM FIRE TO ICE’.
